The Niagara Escarpment and Bruce Trail - Known as one of the world’s most unique land formations, the Niagara Escarpment has been recognized as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The rocks forming the Escarpment are dolomite, formed over 400 million years ago. Ontario’s oldest and longest hiking trail, The Bruce Trail, follows the entire Niagara Escarpment for 782 km.
